INSPIRATION
The Delavigne Candlesticks echo a pair of candlesticks (1723–25) from The Met collection, created by Parisian silversmith Jacques Delavigne (master 1714, recorded 1722). With their angled baluster stems and densely patterned ornamentation, the original artworks reflect the influence of the court designer Jean Bérain (1640–1711).
