The Met x Eichholtz presents the Wall Object Liao, Set of 2. A sculptural statement that brings refined historical depth to any interior. With their softly textured sand finish and balanced circular forms, these decorative wall elements blend ancient craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic.
HISTORIC PROVENANCE
This design is inspired by a pair of 10th–11th-century decorative medallions from China’s Liao dynasty (907–1125). The Museum’s sandstone medallions reflect the era’s cultural richness. Reimagined through the lens of The Met x Eichholtz, the Wall Object Liao honors this historical legacy in a form suited to today’s interiors.
